As a church we fully receive the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed of 381 (Western Rite), the Athanasian Creed, and the Chalcedonian Creed as true expressions of faithful, ancient, worldwide Christianity.
As a secondary statement further describing our tradition, but which we hold with less authority we affirm the Jerusalem Declaration as another resource.
Part of the Christian life is wrestling honestly with God. We keep the main thing the main thing, and we hold space for curiosity and exploration.
We think singing Jesus’ praise does something for our hearts. We use contemporary music in our worship.
We pray ancient prayers.
We read a lot of Bible.
We hear a short homily followed by a group discussion.
We pray together.
We hear of God’s forgiveness together.
We engage in the Sacraments. There are two Sacraments of the Gospel, Baptism and the Eucharist. These we understand as God’s promises which accomplish that which they promise.
We believe in 5 sacraments of the church: Confession, Confirmation, Ordination, Marriage, and Chrismation (Anointing with oil.)
We meet together for worship on Sundays at 10:00 AM in the Carriage Hills Neighborhood in Abilene, Tx.
In addition to our weekly services, we do a family dinner once a month designed for relational connection. We throw three large outreach parties throughout the year because God is a joyful, fun God who gives us good gifts. Once a month, we hold Vespers which is a prayer and worship night. Everything we do is invitational. We’d love to have you and your guests, but there is no obligation to participate before you’re ready.

I’m Pastor Adam Rosseau. I’m married to my high school sweetheart going on 18 years. I received my BA in Biblical Studies from Dallas Baptist University and my MA in Religion from Redeemer Seminary. I have been involved in ministry since 2010. I experienced a “dark night of the soul”, but by the Lord’s grace, He has brought me back into a vibrant and loving faith ready to help others through deconstruction, church hurt, and a desire to know Jesus in a personal, life-changing way.
